A personal reflection of some of our fantastic adventures
In our site, you will find NEWS (North, East, West or South) from our various vacations in Africa. We have been fortunate enough to take plenty of road trips ~ the fast way and the slower 4 x 4 way in Namibia and Botswana. We visit National Parks, do some game viewing, fishing and abundant sightseeing along our way while camping or using self-catering accommodation, lodges, hotels or B&B’s. We also love to take a quick weekend getaway with our family & friends. Every vacation is different with its unique adventures and finds.
We hope our site is useful for your travels ~ for now; we hope you enjoy it in the comfort of your armchair just as much as we did on our vacations on earth.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowline, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. ” – Mark Twain
We’d love to hear from you, so please feel free to enquire, comment, or to like our blog.

Ah, thanks for the shout out my sweetheart. It’s true. I’d love to hear from fellow travellers who may be planning their trip to the great places we’ve been to or those who have been. I’d love to hear about something special that happened to them while there… or perhaps something traumatic. All in good time.

I’m so glad you decided to stop by my blog as it has led me to yours and the amazing adventures you have had and the breathtaking photos you have taken! That Mark Twain quote is just so spot on and a great way to view travelling and deciding whether or not to go somewhere, or whether to travel or not :).

Hi Dash, great to see you popped in. Thanks for that. I love that quote. It always makes me want to get up and go! We often forget to be a tourist in our own land, acknowledging and experiencing the adventures and beauty that’s right on our doorsteps. We all travel somewhere everyday … it’s usually mundane travelling though so to take time out, to go beyond ones borders and recharge is the way to go… if one can. I’m grateful for the amazing adventures I’ve experienced and the ones still to come. I know I’m going to have extra yummy goodies for the road, with thanks to your blog.

Vacations are some of my most treasured memories. Your travels are to faraway places mine are nearer to home but special nonetheless.

I couldn’t agree with you more. It may be far away for you but it’s closer to home for me. Thank you for visiting us and taking the time to connect. Hoping you’ll pop in again to visit us in the future and that you enjoy our vacations on earth. Thank you

I had to work to find your blog. I saw your post on blogging101 but your link didn’t work. But I was determined to find you! My husband and I are full time travelers in our motorhome. Right now, we’re mainly in the Southeastern USA. We’re currently waiting for the birth of our second grandchild. So travels have slowed a bit but every day is an adventure for us!
I also have a personal blog that needs Blogging 101 help: http://LifetimeofForgiveness.wordpress.com
My main issue is lack of time and wifi.

Hi Debbi, Thank you for bringing that to my attention and for visiting our site 🙂 I had posted the link for our Facebook page instead of this one. Well done with finding me. It sounds like you’re living the dream full of adventures. I’ll visit your blog as I’d love to see what you’ve all been up to. Congrats and enjoy the precious bundle of your grandchild no 2. Thanks again for the visit and getting hold of us.
